I think it's so easy to recreate the childhood trauma we endure, but it's not easy to realize that you have the power to end the cycle. Thanks for being you, I have loved your work since i was a tween and am so happy to be reading again <3

I scored a 9 on this quiz. Idk what that means for me and my future, as I'm not able to afford therapy or anything to better myself other than educating myself and attempting self-therapy. I'm thrilled you were able to do something about it and hope your life continues to get better with each passing year.

Have you seen the new Oprah series on Apple plus - The Me You Cannot See? That may be worth a watch. You will see you are not alone. If you find yourself in an acute situation and you need professional help you can contact NAMI.org. They have a hotline (National Alliance on Mental Illness.) When I was in my 20s I couldn’t afford therapy and I just did my best with books and articles and stuff. But if you get to a place where you need it, there are definitely local resources that can give you support. If you’re doing okay for the most part just being part of a community where you can share openly is great. Whether it’s here or elsewhere. Find your people and little by little you will do your healing work. Let me know what you think about that Oprah series. I’m going to watch it this week too. Sending love and care.

I haven't, but I'll absolutely be checking it out (along with the other sources/books/sites you mentioned). Thank you so much. I am actually doing alright for the most part, although that's because I'm now in my 40s and learned to recognize triggers and potential issues and deal with them to the best of my abilities, but my 20s and early 30s were a disaster. I wish someone like you had been out there back then with such insight. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, because I know younger people struggling with unresolved childhood trauma will suffer less due to your candor and courage.
