In May 2021, I started this weekly newsletter after cocooning with my family (and internal life) for 14 years. During my time away, I healed, I learned, I grew (still doing all the above, btw) and finally felt ready to reenter being in community with you. I finally felt I had something new to offer. I asked my media friends WTF I should do reenter the party. Substack was their suggestion. They were totally right.
Over the last nine months, I’ve released 36 free newsletters sharing some of the best and worst moments of my life, and how I grew from the trauma of my childhood to become the parent and partner I’ve always been seeking.
As this letter and its audience has grown (Thank you for that, by the way!), I want to do a better job producing it. As you can imagine, I used to have a big team at Seventeen and CosmoGIRL! While, I’m not looking to recreate that model (maybe one day, sister! 😉), to continue to evolve this newsletter, I need to hire designers and assistants to help build our community into something stronger. For me, this is not just a platform for my voice, but also an exploration in women’s media. So, after lots of thought, I want to share with you all some exciting news:
We are moving to a subscriber model.
I will donate 100% of my proceeds from March 2022 subscriptions to Core Response to help support the immediate needs of Ukrainian refugees.
